 We are dedicated to increasing youth and family exposure and involvement in theatre arts.
As children study acting, singing, dance, and scenic art, they
« discover talents
« explore creativity
« learn to better communicate their ideas
« develop discipline.

The study of the arts has been proven to increase cognitive thinking and improve learning. Participation in the arts imparts the skills necessary to enhance one’s perception of self and the world around us. This all leads to improved self esteem. It is important that these experiences be guided by trained professionals.

Family Playhouse provides high quality directors, instructors, and technicians who have the experience, training, and dedication necessary to teach and produce.

Involvement in productions is highly educational and a necessary part of theatre arts training; however, that involvement cannot replace the week to week practicing of theatre arts techniques. Family Playhouse encourages serious theatre arts students to maintain consistent training along with performing. Students wishing to commit to the rehearsals and discipline necessary to perform will have ample opportunities throughout our season of main stage productions. These provide opportunities for the application of skills learned. We also encourage involvement in productions in other settings, such as school, church and community theatre.
